Principal Solicitor and Director
Inke Loos is the Principal Solicitor of Leora Rose Law. She has worked in the legal industry for over 20 years, and specialises in Commercial Law, Entertainment & Media Law, and Intellectual Property. Inke is a driven and hands on solicitor and entrepreneur with extensive legal and business affairs experience across a wide range of commercial, legal, and entertainment industries. With impressive experience in both private legal practice and in-house counsel roles, consulting in legal and business affairs across a number of corporations, and overseeing legal project management, business growth, and corporate expansion, Inke brings a wealth of industry knowledge in the corporate and legal spheres both nationally and internationally.
As the owner and founder of a management and consulting company, General Counsel for an international digital company, and consultant in legal and business affairs to a range of clients internationally, Inke has overseen the success of many companies whilst providing corporate strategic advice and tactical legal initiatives. With experience at Legal Counsel, Board, and senior management level, Inke has provided guidance across complex decision-making, feasibility, legal risk minimisation, corporate policy, commercial legalities, and internal legal compliance and advice.
Inke has been invited as a speaker and panelist at a number of events and has also taught at and tutored in various legal units for two Australian universities. An accomplished ballerina, Inke has a passion for supporting success in the creative arts.
Aliza George
Special Counsel
Aliza George is a senior practitioner with broad based experience across corporate, commercial, and cross-border matters. Aliza has practised within boutique specialist practices, mid-tier firms, and as in-house counsel with Australia’s largest financial service provider; overseeing cross-border negotiations and transactions for multinational clients.
Aliza commenced her legal career in Malaysia, supporting high profile litigation prior to moving into corporate commercial advisory work. Aliza is experienced in governance, compliance, due diligence for venture capital and seed fund investors. An early career highlight, she contributed to the Air Asia due diligence for its venture capital investors, at its conceptual stage.
Aliza has practised in a diverse international practice, holding admissions in Queensland; Australia, New Zealand, and Malaysia. Her practice spans corporate and commercial transactions, governance, regulatory compliance, not-for-profit advisory, family law and Syariah jurisprudence, mediation and dispute resolution; assisting clients to resolve legal matters in a pragmatic, collaborative and solutions-focused way. Aliza is fluent in English, Malay, Indonesian, and conversant in several Asian languages.
Outside of work she enjoys playing music and supporting the Arts. Aliza is committed to providing pragmatic solutions-focused advice and views it a privilege to support clients from all walks of life. She is actively engaged in her local community, contributing to positive social impact initiatives and sits on the board of a not for profit entity.
Bernadette Lara

Bernadette brings over 20 years of experience and knowledge as a commercial litigator, insolvency practitioner, and commercial lawyer. Her focus is always to provide professional, efficient, and commercial solutions to assist clients in achieving the best possible outcomes. She has a talent for navigating complex legal frameworks and developing creative problem-solving strategies.
Bernadette has experience in representing clients in many different industries and fields including finance, construction, property, retail, IT, and franchising. She is passionate about assisting clients successfully navigate the court system, win and settle commercial disputes, sell and purchase businesses, lease commercial property, mediate contract disputes, and confidently enter into commercial transactions such as joint-venture agreements or a new franchise prospect.
Bernadette also has experience in conducting mediations, participating in arbitrations, and negotiated settlements.
Bernadette is admitted as a solicitor of the High Court. She has advised and acted for corporations, businesses, and individuals across many jurisdictions in Queensland and NSW including the Supreme Court, Federal Court, District, Local and Magistrates courts.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her children, the theatre and ballet, and travel. She also has a passion for leveraging her legal expertise to advocate for and drive meaningful change in the disability space.
Ryley Wagner
Associate – Commercial Law
Born and raised on the Gold Coast, Ryley graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Laws (with Distinction) and a Bachelor of Government and International Relations in 2020. After obtaining a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law in December 2021, she was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland in February 2022 and the High Court of Australia in March 2022.
With a background in Litigation, Ryley has expanded her practice to Commercial Law. This background has provided her strong risk assessment skills and foresight relevant to advising on and drafting commercial contracts.
Driven by an outcome-focused approach, Ryley is committed to justice and passionate about assisting her clients in an efficient and cost-effective manner, with a focus on the client’s needs, wishes, and optimal legal outcomes.
Tayla Druce
Commercial and Employment Lawyer
Tayla commenced her legal career as a Law Clerk, joining Leora Rose Law in January 2022 whilst completing a Bachelor of Laws at Southern Cross University and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the College of Law. Following her graduation, she was admitted as a Lawyer to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in September 2023, and to the High Court of Australia in June 2024.
Since joining the firm, Tayla has gained experience across a diverse range of legal areas, including property law, employment and commercial law, and intellectual property. Her exposure to various matters has assisted her in developing a client-focused and pragmatic approach, with a strong emphasis on delivering cost-efficient solutions and safeguarding her clients’ interests.
Tayla is driven by a commitment to providing clear and supportive guidance throughout the legal process, making her a trusted advisor to her clients.
Emma James
Conveyancing Manager
Emma James fulfills the role of Conveyancing Manager at Leora Rose Law.
As a small business owner herself and avid property investor, Emma shares her passion to grow and succeed. Her decade plus experience in small business enables her to keep her finger on the pulse and ensure all runs smoothly for both staff and clientele alike.
Emma’s strong organisational skills and appreciation for business process and procedure make her an asset to the team. Further, Emma’s management and accounting experience enables her to perform behind the scenes, ensuring all team members are supported and focused in their roles. Her commitment to her clients provides them with assurance that their property transaction is smooth sailing from start to finish, as well as making the entire experience as easy and comfortable as possible.
Jenny Harris
Conveyancer
Jenny Harris brings over 40 years’ of conveyancing experience and a passion for all things Property. Her main areas of law have been property law and general conveyancing. Jenny understands the conveyancing process from start to finish and loves to see happy clients moving into their new home or seeing their investment dreams come to light. She understands the importance of always being available to answer client’s questions and ensuring that client’s are well cared for in their conveyancing transactions.
With her attention to detail and clear communication style, Jenny builds strong relationships with clients whilst working alongside our team in a collaborative manner.
Gold Coast has been Jenny’s home for most of her life. Starting school at Burleigh Heads and growing up in Palm Beach. Jenny has been married for over 40 years with two children and five grandchildren. Movies and good books are her relaxation time.
Anne-Marie Rumbles
Practice Manager
Since joining Leora Rose Law, Anne-Marie has become an integral member of the team bringing with her a vast amount of Administrative experience and knowledge. While she continues to enhance her skillset, she finds that she is further strengthening the knowledge she gained while studying for Diploma of Business Administration and dual Diploma of Leadership and Management.
Applying her analytical thinking and problem solving, coupled with strong communication and organisational skills, Anne-Marie ensures the office runs smoothly, while making sure everyone is supported in their respective roles.

Ma-Janneh, whom we fondly know as MJ, is a Law Clerk and one of our most valued researchers and supports. MJ is currently nearing the completion of her Bachelor of Laws and International Relations at Bond University. MJ brings strong research skills and a contemplative approach to each matter.
With a background in playwriting and the Arts, MJ approaches each matter with clarity, creativity, and curiosity. She combines robust attention to detail with a willingness to learn. Her role is to support the team through comprehensive legal research and case law application.
Savannah Mackay

Savannah holds a Juris Doctor from Griffith University and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Politics. Having recently returned from living in Japan, she brings an adaptable, global perspective to her role as a Law Clerk. Her diverse background has instilled a high degree of discipline and an intuitive understanding of the social structures that influence legal outcomes.
Currently completing her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, Savannah is dedicated and committed to providing meticulous research and administrative support to the Leora Rose Team.
Marlie Crummer

Marlie is currently finalising her double degree of Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Journalism, whilst working as a Law Clerk with Leora Rose Law.
Marlie has three core life passions; reading, writing, and a desire to be the voice for those who cannot speak for themselves, which have driven her interest in law and journalism.
